About Our 2 Independent Stations
WCPL-TV (Channel 5) and WLFC-TV (Channel 9), in 2015 and started its news-gathering operation a short-time after. WCPL-TV and WLFC-TV cover approximately 16 counties within Central PA, All The way to McKean, Potter, Forest, Clinton, Clearfield, and Clarion Counties. We provide the best in news coverage, live events, weather coverage, and programming we can as 2 independent television stations.
Our News Coverage
Our news coverage spans a 16-county coverage area. We have 6 newsrooms that cover each of our counties. We cover Bedford, Blair, Cameron, Cambria, Clarion, Clearfield, Clinton, Centre, Elk, Forest, Fulton, Huntingdon, McKean, Potter, and Somerset Counties. We cover these counties by having 6 specific newsrooms, which go as follows:
Northern Tier Newsroom: Covers Clearfield (except the communities of Osceola Mills, Houtzdale, Chester Hill, Brisbin, etc.), Clinton, Elk, Cameron, McKean, and Potter Counties.
Moshannon Valley Newsroom: Covers the boroughs of Houtzdale, Brisbin, Philipsburg, Chester Hill, Osceola Mills, Ramey, and surrounding communities.
Tri-County Newsroom: Covers Jefferson, Clarion and Forest Counties.
Southern Tier Newsroom: Covers Blair and Bedford Counties.
Laurel Highlands Newsroom: Covers Cambria and Somerset Counties.
Eastern Tier Newsroom: Covers Centre (except Philipsburg Borough), Huntingdon and Fulton Counties.
