Punxsutawney, PA (CPTN) -- A house is a total loss, after a second-alarm fire Thursday morning, which was caused by an exploding water tank.
The Punxsutawney Fire Chief says that crews got the call, which occurred at the home, located along the 100 block of Greenwood Avenue, at about 11 o'clock Thursday morning..
Crews say that the water tank, to which was located in the basement, was being worked on before the explosion occurred.
Due to icy conditions, the fires location, along with the fire itself, crews say that the flames were very difficult to put out.
Nobody was injured, as a result of the fire, which left a family of five without a place of residence, due to the severe damage, caused by the flames.
