Centre County, PA (CPTN) -- A couple has been charged with animal cruelty, after a puppy was found to have a broken leg.
Police say that Jeannine Ohmit,31 and Damion Confer, 28, refused to get the puppy the proper treatment for its injury.
Police say when questioned, the couple said that they couldn't afford to get the puppy the proper care.
According to Dockets, Confer is being held in the Centre County Correctional Facility, while Ohmit was released on an unsecure bond.
